It’s funny… How situations in our lives can hold us/immobilize us against the wall! Situations are able to keep us from acting in a manor, which we might have been more inclined to act differently at simply another time in our lives!

I was told today that I react rather than act… How funny that is! How unsettling and yet very true it is, also…

Why is it, do you suppose, that God allows situations to occur in our lives that somehow show themselves to stunt us and yet it spurs us on to growth? People come in and out of our lives and shake us up to an unsettling posture, which then takes us into an unknowing and unrecognizable darkness. When the curtain is taken down, the light shines upon us revealing His full Glory! Isn’t that what this is all about, giving Glory to Him? Shall we live our lives and never take a moment to ponder the reason for all of this? Shall we expect only easy paths bringing us to a mature and wise ending? Or can we reasonably concede that rocky paths can and do bring us to a point of substantial growth?

Lord, please show me the way! Please take me through situations that will bring you ALL the Glory you deserve, no matter how unsettling at the moment the situation might be to experience. I will trust in only YOU! Use me for whatever purposes you deem worthy. Take me through the valleys and hilltops and rivers and birthing centers and mortuaries and parks and food centers and courtrooms and ocean-sides and classrooms and doctor’s offices and staircases! Show me your grace and your wisdom and your guidance and your justice and your mercy and your love and your wrath and your generosity and sufficiency only for your eternal purposes… Use me, my life, for your plan, for your children, for your creation, for your kingdom, for your honor, for your glorification, for your Son and your eternal purposes!! Lead me down the path you have chosen for me. Guide me in the direction you would have me to go. Protect me when you deem necessary. Show me things I might not otherwise learn. Extend sufficient grace to me. Display sufficient mercy to me and judge me sufficient justice when appropriate!

My life; planned by you, created by you, granted by you, given by you, for your use as you see fit. I am yours. You are mine. I love you… All honor and praise and glory are yours alone.
